An institution in Braemar, the Butcher serves good meat and deli produces with a friendly service. The Davidson butchers might not hold a royal warrant, but they supply the King at Birkhall nonetheless.

Walks
Where to walk in Braemar.This Highland village has always been a paradise for walkers. With walks and hikes starting a short drive away and some starting from Braemar itself, Braemar is the perfect base. More info here.

The River Walk
Step away from the centre of Braemar onto the River Dee walk. A flat walk along the river bank with great scenery. Circular walk, allow 1 hour.

Queen's Drive
Follow the steps of Queen Victoria, who once used this drive to travel to Braemar on her carriage. Now a popular walk, it will take you along the river Clunie before heading up into the woods leading back to Braemar. Circular walk, 1.5h.

Creag Choinnnich
A steep but short and rewarding walk. Once you reach the top, Creag Choinnich offers fantastic views over Braemar and beyond.

Linn of Dee
A popular spot for natural beauty, the Linn of Dee offers waterfalls, forest walks and great spots for river swimming.

Linn of Choich
Knock Castle.Just a little further from the Linn of Dee is the Linn of Choice. Offering the same natural beauty as its neighbour with less crowds in Summer time.

Ballochbuie Forest
One of our favourite places to walk, Ballochbuie is a circular forest walk displaying beautiful waterfall, the late Queen's favourite hut and is one of the largest Scot pine woods in Deeside.

Braemar Brewing Co is a one man band. Dave produces ales in his micro brewery and sells bottles to go. Sample his beer on Draft at the Invercauld Mews Bar.
